IRCC form stuck on “Please wait…”?

Canadian immigration forms (IMM 5257, IMM 5709, IMM 5710, IMM 5645 and others) are XFA forms. They don't open in Chrome, Edge, Safari, Mac Preview or on phones. Drop the form below to read and print a reading copy. You can't fill in or validate it here: to submit, complete and validate the original in Adobe Acrobat Reader on a computer (steps below).

Important: how to fill a form IRCC will accept

IRCC forms include validation and barcodes that only work in Adobe Acrobat Reader on a Windows or Mac computer. To submit, download the form from the official IRCC page, open it in Adobe Acrobat Reader (not in your browser), fill it in, and click Validate.

Use this tool to read a form, check what it asks, print a copy to fill by hand, or view a completed form someone sent you. Don't submit a copy made here in place of the validated original.

Questions

Why does my IRCC form say “Please wait… If this message is not eventually replaced”?

Your browser or PDF app can't display XFA forms. Download the form and open it in Adobe Acrobat Reader on a computer to fill it in, or drop it here to read it right away.

Can I fill in and submit the form using this tool?

You can read and print it here. For a submission, IRCC needs the form filled in Adobe Acrobat Reader and validated so its barcode is generated. Use this tool to read, check or print. Use Adobe Reader to submit.

Is my application data safe?

The form is processed on your device, and our code doesn't upload it. We record only which form it was (for example IMM 5257), never what's in it. See our security page.

Is this an official IRCC service?

No. CantOpenPDF is independent and not affiliated with IRCC or the Government of Canada. Always download forms from the official canada.ca website.
